To be against the war in Iraq or Afghanistan is to be FOR Sodamn, the
Taliban and the continuance of their murders and tortures of their own
people.

Don't you feel like an idiot when you realize that you support the continued
oppression, or are you even too stupid to realize that?

Herb,

Don't ever be so naive to say that being in favor of peace and diplomacy (an
art that Bush I was excellent at, but Bush II ignores) are the same thing as
supporting continued oppression. The problem with the situation in Iraq was
that W ignored the rest of the world including his own father and former
President. In civilized nations and governments, war is always an
unfortunate last result; a necessary horror. In Afghanistan that was the
case. Thirteen years ago in Iraq, that was the case. There was no reason
to interrupt the war on terrorism to go after Iraq. The idea that he has
WMDs because we gave them to him (Vice President Cheney's quote the day that
Colin Powell told the UN all about Iraq's collusion with Al Qaeda) is not a
reason to ignore the lessons from the Gulf of Tonkin. We are now involved
with ANOTHER Vietnam, a place where American's are being killed every day
and no way to get out. In addition, it has allowed Al Qaeda to become just
as powerful as it was on that sunny day in September, 2001.

On a more serious note: Does this kind of thread really belong on a
newsgroup dedicated to jobs?!???!!!! Try to pay attention to where
something is being sent.

They certainly are when there is no available alternative. Peace at any

would end up being slavery -- this is precisely how the world almost succumb
to the Nazis.

IF you were/are not for the war in Iraq, then after 12 years of sanctions
and
30+ years of dictatorship murdering and raping the Iraqi people then you
are a supporter of that murder and rape.

You may not like hearing the truth, but to deny this is to stick your head
